From Survey to Site: Tailored Lifting Solutions for Oversized Curved Glass
We recently provided a bespoke Hydraulica 2100 Curved glass vacuum lifter to a glazing contractor in London, helping ensure the success of their lifting project.
After conducting a site survey, our team collaborated closely with the customer to develop a tailored lifting solution in-house, drawing on the expertise of our technical specialists.
On site, the Hydraulica 2100 Curved worked in tandem with our UNIC URW-1006 mini spider crane to lift, manoeuvre, and accurately position a large, curved glass panel.
The glass was handled using vacuum suction pads mounted on flexible swivel arms, which adapted to the unique shape of the load, providing optimal control throughout the lift.
Featuring innovative Quad-Circuit technology, the Hydraulica 2100 Curved has four independent vacuum circuits, delivering safer and more efficient lifting performance.
With 360° powered rotation and 90° hydraulic tilt, this vacuum lifter allows precise, controlled placement of heavy and oversized curved glass, making it the ideal solution for complex glazing projects.

Silvertown Tunnel: Lifting 20T Steel with Riverlinx
GGR Group supplied four Tracked Leveller 6.0s, heavy-duty materials carriers with bi-levelling technology. Ideal for transporting heavy loads across challenging terrain, these 6-tonne capacity tracked carriers offer full manoeuvrability and control, taking on gradients of up to 25° all while keeping loads completely level. On site, the tracked levellers worked in tandem to carefully transport the 20-tonne steel across the challenging terrain. With four operators manoeuvring the machines, communication and the Tracked Leveller 6.0’s precise controls were essential to safely moving the extremely heavy load. Measuring just 1440mm in height, the Tracked Leveller was able to navigate beneath low ceilings and overhead obstructions with ease. Unlike cranes or other lifting alternatives, the Tracked Leveller 6.0 can transport heavy loads without occupying excessive space, making it a more practical choice in confined environments. Additionally, the Tracked Levellers could tandem carry the 20-tonne load with greater stability and control, whereas cranes performing a tandem lift would require significantly more coordination and precision.
