How Do I Get My Equipment?

Please contact any of our depots with:

  • What equipment you’d like to purchase or hire (or lifting problem you need help with)
  • Where you would like it delivered
  • If hiring equipment, the date you would like to hire
  • Equipment can be delivered direct to site, or can be collected from one of our three depots in Manchester, Long Crendon and Glasgow (8.30-17.30 Mon-Fri).
  • Delivery prices depend upon the equipment and location, call our team today to get the best rates.

How Do I Pay?

  • Credit card (Mastercard, VISA, AMEX, Maestro). There is a 2.5% surcharge for credit cards and 2.95% for AMEX.
  • Debit card
  • BACS Payment : the funds will need to be cleared prior to the start date of the hire.
  • Apply for an account with us, and receive an invoice

Can I Set Up An Account?

We can set up a new account for your purchases (30 days end of month payment subject to terms and conditions). When hiring equipment, your first purchase on the account will need to be paid via a proforma invoice.

We are open 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday

Do You Deliver To Site?

Yes we deliver to site – we require a full address, postcode for the site, contact name and number for this.

Deliver to The Channel Islands, Highlands & Scottish Isles?

Yes we deliver to the islands of the United Kingdom, please contact our depots for availability and transport costs.

Do you deliver to Northern Ireland?

Yes we deliver to Northern Ireland, please contact our depots for availability and transport costs.

Do you deliver to Europe?

Yes we can deliver to Europe.

The hire charge commences from the first date of transit. Transportation costs will vary depending on location.

Can I Collect Equipment From Your Depots?

Yes you can collect equipment from our depots between Monday-Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm.

Can I Hire A Crane With An Operator?

We have crane operators available to assist in your lift. They are CPCS A66 certified and have the right experience to handle your lift requirements.

Experienced, qualified operators are available for a variety of jobs and environments:

  • A66 Endorsement A – mini cranes
  • A66 Endorsement B – Pick & Carry
  • A66 Endorsement C – Starwork trailer crane
  • PTS (Personnel Trackside Safety) trained operators for rail jobs
  • BESC – National Grid (Basic Electrical Safety Confidence) for work in substations
  • LUL – London Underground work

Do You Provide Training?

GGR Group is a leading provider of CPCS A66 crane training for compact cranes, as well as RTITB certified vacuum lifter training. Courses can be taken at either our Manchester or Long Crendon depots and will provide you with a mix of theory and hands on practical training.

Do You Familiarise Or Train On Site?

GGR Group is an official accredited test centre for CPCS A66 mini crane training, therefore we cannot train on site. We can only provide familiarisation in exceptional cases.

What Is The Difference Between 'Familiarisation' And 'Training'?

Familiarisation – is not formal training and does not result in any accreditation.

Training – comes with CPCS A66 accreditation and this card is often requested by UK Contractors.

Do You Know Where I Can Hire A Crane From?

We have a range of mini cranes, pick and carry cranes and other lifting solutions available to hire from any of our depots in Glasgow, Manchester and Long Crendon.

We also deliver to site.

Do you know of a dealer to hire one from?

GGR Group has a network of Unic mini crane dealers across Europe.

Are you open on Saturday?

No we do not open on a Saturday.

If you wish to off-hire your equipment for the weekend, you will need to contact the relevant depot on a Friday to off-hire the kit. We will collect the kit on the following Monday. Any equipment left on site, even once off-hired, must be kept secure and safe.

Any equipment damaged or stolen that is left on site is the responsibility of the client.

Can you service my crane on site?

In certain circumstances we may be able to service the cranes on site. Please contact us for further informaton.

What if my crane breaks down?

Hired Cranes

If you have hired a crane from us and it breaks down on site, please call the depot or email help@ggrgroup.com and we will send out an engineer to fix the crane, or replace it with another one.

Purchased Cranes

If you have purchased a crane from The GGR Group in the UK and it breaks down within the warranty period, we will repair the crane and provide any parts needed.

If you have purchased a crane from our one of our European dealers, please contact them directly to arrange repairs. Visit www.unic-cranes.co.uk/dealers for dealer contact details.

If you have purchased a crane and it breaks down outside of the warranty period, we can provide a repair and maintenance service at a cost to the customer.

What if my vacuum lifter breaks down?

If you have hired a vacuum lifter from us and it breaks down on site, please call your nearest depot and we will help troubleshoot the problem over the phone.

In certain circumstances we will issue a replacement vacuum lifter, please contact us for more information.

If you have purchased a vacuum lifter from The GGR Group and it breaks down we will try to troubleshoot it for you over the phone, or arrange repair at our depot, please contact our Manchester office on 0161 683 2580 for assistance.

What if my hire equipment breaks down on site?

All our hire equipment, with the exception of our mini cranes and pick & carry cranes, will need to be repaired at our depots.

If your equipment breaks down, please contact the depot you hired the equipment from and we will be happy to help.
