UNIC Cranes Europe

UNIC Cranes Europe is part of the GGR Group. The crane hire segment of UNIC Cranes Europe was founded in 2001 and presently operates a fleet of more than 100 mini spider cranes with capacities ranging from 1t to 10t. UNIC Cranes Europe immediately became the appointed dealer throughout Europe, working closely with Japanese manufacturer Furukawa UNIC. Following the CE approval procedure in 2001, we were among the first companies in the UK to import UNIC mini spider cranes.

The first UNIC URW-295 arrived in the UK in 2003, and UNIC Cranes Europe was formally inaugurated, with the sale of the first UNIC mini crane in Europe. We became the sole distributor for Furukawa UNIC Cranes in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in 2004.

The UNIC dealer network now extends across 26 nations. UNIC spider cranes have proven beneficial in a wide range of industries around the world, including glazing, construction, utilities, defence, rivers, and rail.

Keep your product knowledge and operational skills up-to-date with our range of popular compact crane training and vacuum lifter courses. GGR Group has been running training programmes since 1995 and broke new ground in the UK as the first supplier to provide CPCS A66 compact crane training.

We were also instrumental in establishing the UK’s first accredited training course for vacuum lifters. Our training programmes are run at GGR’s state-of-the-art Centre of Excellence training facilities in Oldham, Haddenham and Blantyre.

Our dedicated training site is the home of our widely renowned training courses for the wide array of lifting solutions we provide. The CPCS courses categories A-D covers mini spider cranes, pick & carry cranes, trailer cranes and our mini crawler cranes with a separate Slinger/signaller training course to round off your crane knowledge.

The LEEA courses cover glazing robots, floor cranes, tracked levellers, overhang beams and more.

Our RTITB-accredited course covers below-the-hook vacuum lifters, this one-day course provides extensive training for a variety of vacuum lifters within the GGR Group fleet.
