Restricted Access on a Canal
The MCC1005 Mini Crawler Crane took a break from the dusty construction site to replace an old bridge at the Greenberfield Locks Canal. This highly restrictive area of the canal required a machine that could fit on the narrow canal path without tracking onto the grassy bank. With the maximum weight of the bridges being 1.5 tonnes, the crane also needed a generous pick and carry ability.
After GGR Group created a full lift plan our trained staff were able to utilise the MCC1005 and their previous experience in working on canals to complete this challenging lift. The crane was able to remove the bridge and deliver it onto awaiting transport before installing the new bridge.
