Jurassic Mini Spider Crane

GGR Group were approached to install a 5-metre-tall T-rex at the Leeds Trinity Shopping Centre for the Summer Jurassic Dinosaur Trail. The dinosaur was to be featured between floors with several balconies around it. Due to the varying overhead heights and narrow access, the job required plant machinery that was compact enough to be transported inside the building but strong enough to lift the 1.5-tonne T-rex.

After developing a lift plan, we selected the UNIC URW-706-2 Mini Spider Crane as the plant for the job. With 6 tonnes of lifting power and a 25.2-metre lifting height, the 706-2 was able to lift and position the dinosaur so it was ready just in time for the children’s event.
