GGR were asked to provide some lifting power to fit a state-of-the-art LED display screen onto the side of a building on Digbeth High Street in Birmingham recently.

A 6 tonne capacity UNIC URW-706 mini crane was hired along with a team of experienced operators to replace old signage with a new LED digital advertising board, one of the first of its kind to be installed in the UK.

Set up on the pavement, the UNIC mini crane first removed the old panels before lifting the four cross bars which the new billboard would be fixed onto.

The three high definition display panel sections were then hoisted up individually, each weighing 250kg and measuring 4 metres wide. The UNIC URW-706 was able to work at the 15 metre height required on the busy high street with limited space to create this eye-catching display.
