GGR’s EMU glazing robot proved to be a multi-functional piece of kit as it expertly installed cladding panels under a low roof where crane access would have been impossible at Edinburgh Airport.

EMU for short, this 1000kg capacity Ergonomic Manipulating Unit has a dual circuit hydraulic lifting head which precisely manoeuvred each of the cladding pieces into the correct overhead position for fixing into place. The dual circuit robot could efficiently pick up each panel, pivot, tilt and rotate it before extending its reach to the underside of the building for installation.

Our popular EMU lifting machine has also demonstrated why it’s a GGR favourite by assisting with glazing jobs at Salford Community Stadium and Wakefield Art Gallery.
