Libro 2500A new development in London recently required three mighty lifting machines for glazing work at height.

A UNIC URW-1006 spider crane, a Libro 2500 overhand beam, and an MRT4 vacuum lifter worked as the ultimate dream team to lift glass panels in Bloomsbury, London.

Several glass panels, weighing between 161kg and 274kg, had to be lifted into window frames of this new building, requiring products with both strength and versatility for a perfect installation.

With various load sizes to lift, the MRT4 glass vacuum lifter was the perfect choice for this project, thanks to its flexible frame configurations. With four optional extension arms, the frame can be adjusted to fit a range of glass panels on one job.

Libro 2500The Libro 2500 is the ideal solution for projects of this kind where glazing needs to be lifted at height and then manoeuvred through an opening or below a building overhang. The 2.5 tonne capacity overhang beam had to guide the glass through 1.81m x 1.85m openings, manipulating loads into their optimum install position.

The UNIC URW-1006 provided the height and lifting power required for this installation, boasting an unrivalled 10 tonnes of lifting power with a maximum lifting height of 30.7 metres.
