GGR’s lifting equipment took a trip to the seaside town of St Ives, Cornwall to help install glazing for a new restaurant space which was designed to give customers panoramic views of the picturesque harbour.

The three storey building underneath the elevated Malakoff bus station is rumoured to be highly sought after, with celebrity chefs Gordon Ramsay, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Rick Stein interested in the seafront location.

A 6 tonne capacity Unic URW-706 mini spider crane made its way to the hard-to-reach coastal location to install a number of glass panels over the side of the partly refurbished building. A DSZ2 Slimline glass vacuum lifter was used with the mini crane to handle smaller pieces of glass, whilst the 1200kg capacity Hydraulica 1200 lifted the main window units which will provide the best views of the Cornish port.
