A Unic URW-295 mini spider crane and powerful Hydraulica 1200 glass vacuum lifter recently spent a week helping with refurbishment work at the luxury Café Royal Hotel in Mayfair, London.

Due to open in time for the Olympics this summer, GGR’s lifting equipment was used to install three heavy glass units to this 5* 160 bedroom hotel near Regent Street.

The compact 2.9 tonne capacity Unic URW-295 spider crane had the minimal dimensions to work under the 4 metre high ceiling and lift the large 450kg, 708kg and 756kg panels with ease using the rotating and tilting Hydraulica 1200 lifter. This 1200kg capacity glass sucker lifted the largest 756kg panel using its 16 vacuum pads to safely move the 6.5 metre by 2.7 metre glass window into position ready for installation.
