GGR Group’s Oldham depot has been collecting toys this December on behalf of Home-Start Manchester, a local family support charity. With this being the company’s 2nd year donating to Home-Start we have seen the impact supporting a community-focused charity can have.

Made up of local parent volunteers who provide weekly emotional and practical home visiting support to families with at least one child under the age of 5 years, Home-Start offers much-needed help in giving children the best possible start in life.

At GGR Group we believe that all children should receive a gift on top of the support Home-Start already provides. With age-appropriate toys being provided for children from 0 – 16 years old, both infants and teens will benefit from the enrichment and developmental value that these gifts can offer.

Today we handed over our assortment of gifts to two of Home-Start’s dedicated employees who will be wrapping and allocating the gifts to a number of families in need. After a chat about the difference these donations will make and packing up the car with toys, we have seen just how passionate the Home-Start employees and volunteers are about giving back to their community.

Daniel Ezzatvar, Special Products and Marketing Director said, “GGR has a history of supporting our local community, especially during the festive period. This Christmas, staff from the Oldham depot have collected donations for three charities, including Home-Start who we also worked with last year.

“It was our pleasure to be able to hand over an assortment of gifts to two of Home-Start’s team, who will be wrapping them and sending them out to families who could do with the extra help this year.”
