FORS Professional training information knowledge

FORS operators and drivers are able to take advantage of the eLearning modules, which are designed to offer drivers and managers concise, accessible training. To date over 93,000 FORS Professional eLearning modules have been completed by drivers and managers. FORS eLearning modules generally take 30-40 minutes to complete and are followed by a short quiz. Certificates are available to download on successful completion of the quiz and your name will automatically be added to the FORS Professional training register.

Adrian Richards Head of Transport quotes

“FORS have introduced a new range of eLearning which supports key areas designed to improve company fleet vehicles and driver awareness.

By undertaking FORS Professional training, drivers and managers have help GGR Group improve fleet performance with respect to safety, efficiency and environmental impact.

Through our training programme, we assist our drivers to become better drivers by investing in their training. From learning how to drive more safely in urban areas to understanding how to reduce fuel consumption, they have become valuable assets to our company.

Our drivers complete all the available eLearning modules as part of their driver development, with our company workstations located in key areas within our site, this enables drivers to access the FORS professional learning suite.”

Driver’s View – Ian Magowan Cat C driver (GGR Group Long Crendon)

“I have completed the FORS eLearning being part of the GGR move through the Bronze, Silver and Gold standard. The FORS eLearning has really focused on Cyclists and Venerable Road Users this has made me aware of the often overlooked dangers. The latest E learning I found easy to use from logging onto my account, viewing and completing the modules available.

When completing the models I did find some were rather long however the content in them was good this the use of the short films gave a positive view (The whodunit Cycle safety video was very good).

We have dedicated work stations available for us to use which is good, I have been able to complete the E learning in an area which away from the office.

To have the FORS Gold status shows GGR vehicles and drivers meet this high standard, sites we visit like to fact that we are gold and this makes the site deliveries often easier.”
