UNIC Cranes Europe has announced the launch of its brand-new mini crane, the UNIC URW-345 lithium-ion pop up crane, at Bauma, which runs from 24th– 30th October 2022.

The URW-345 Pop-Up features a max capacity of 3.2t and a maximum lifting height of 16.5m. Powered by a lithium-ion battery, this mini spider crane is packed with new features that make it exceptional for working in enclosed and confined areas.

The most unique feature of the URW-345 is the new, ingenious pop-up column. With the king-post positioned centrally on the chassis, the crane gives users increased stability. The design of the pop-up column also offers operators the ability to work closer to obstacles than its closest competitor due to the minimal overhang of the column.

With expandable tracks as standard for improved stability, the URW-345 can be easily manoeuvred into position, taking the width from 1100mm to 750mm, the crane can fit through standard double doorways.

With the four-section telescoping hydraulic jib, the URW-345 increases its lifting height from 10.9m to 16.5m and maximum working radius from 9.82m to 15.7m. The addition of variable outriggers means this adaptable crane can fit into some of the most confined working areas.

The URW-345 is fully powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery which can also be used while still charging – making it a truly unique addition to the UNIC Cranes range.

Graeme Riley, CEO of UNIC Cranes Europe said “We are pleased to announce the launch of our latest UNIC mini spider crane, the UNIC URW-345 pop-up. We have worked directly with Furukawa UNIC to develop this innovation and have already received positive feedback from the industry”.

“This machine is powered by a lithium-ion battery and also features the addition of variable outriggers, giving operators the ability to position the outriggers where needed in confined areas or around obstacles on-site. Additionally, with the variable outriggers, users can unlock even more performance with Max+ capacities”.

He continued “The 1000kg capacity 4-section telescopic hydraulic jib of the URW-345 takes the maximum hook height from 10.5m to 16.5m, and the maximum working radius from 9.82m to 15.7m – giving you similar reach as the larger UNIC models, but in a much more compact and manoeuvrable frame”.

UNIC Cranes Europe will be exhibiting at Bauma on stand FS1102/5 in outdoor area from 24th – 30th 2022 where the UNIC URW-345 will be on display for visitors.
