The countdown to Christmas officially begun yesterday and as GGR were feeling in the festive mood it was time to do some Christmas shopping.

This year GGR Group chose to support Wood Street Mission’s Children at Christmas Appeal, which helps vulnerable families in Manchester and Salford over the holiday period. The charity asked for gift donations so they could help make sure that every child got a present to open on Christmas day.

Armed with a generous budget, two GGR staff (a shopaholic and a man with a van) teamed up to do a trolley dash around the shops to find gifts for boys and girls aged 0 to 13 years. After a few hours they returned with a van full of dolls, teddies, sports equipment, chocolates, toiletries and of course our favourite Peppa Pig! GGR staff also kindly donated new toys for the appeal.

This is the result, toys are taking over the GGR office! They are all ready to be collected by the charity who are sending them to children who will really appreciate a new toy from Father Christmas this year.
