UNIC URW-295 mini crane passes through tight gap

This UNIC mini crane had just centimeters to spare as it made its way down this very narrow passage to reach luxury homes in Emirates Hills, Dubai, UAE

A 2.9 tonne capacity UNIC URW-295 spider crane was hired from Orientals Specialist Lifting, UNIC Cranes Europe’s mini crane distributor in the United Arab Emirates, to fix glazing villas at the prestigious Emirates Hills development.

UNIC URW-295 mini spider crane in Emirates Hills, DubaiDubbed the Beverly Hills of Dubai, this exclusive gated residential community is home to magnificent villas with views of an 18 hole championship golf course.

However when it came to equipment reaching the lifting locations at these particular villas, there was trouble in paradise as access was extremely restricted.  This tracked UNIC mini crane came to the rescue with its slimline 600mm wide chassis that allowed it to travel down this tiny path that was just 0.65 metres wide in parts.

With their combination of miniature size and generous lifting capacity, UNIC mini spider cranes have often been used to work on tricky glazing projects at other luxury homes around the world, such as at Sheikh Khalifa’s palace in the UAE, Swinhay House in the Cotswolds and a home in London’s exclusive Belgravia neighbourhood.
