Manninwood, a carpentry and building firm who specialize in creating bespoke oak frames, has become the first company in the Isle of Man to get their hands on a UNIC mini spider crane. When looking for a more efficient lifting solution for handling heavy timber beams, they didn’t have to look much further than GGR Group’s range of micro machines.

The first UNIC mini crane to make it onto the Isle of Man as part of Manninwood’s arsenal of lifting equipment is the UNIC URW-295 model which can lift loads up to almost 3 tonnes in weight. Perfect for shifting weighty building materials to create the beautiful homes which the Isle of Man is renowned for, the crane has an 8.8 metre maximum lifting height and a slimline chassis which allows it to work in confined spaces.

By combining the latest compact crane technology with Manninwood’s traditional techniques, the company now has a much safer way of shifting bigger beams and trusses. Owner James Hampton has already enjoyed getting to grips with his new gadget on site as you can see from these photos. For more information about investing in UNIC mini spider cranes please contact your nearest depot.
