When it comes to lifting materials on rooftops, UNIC mini spider cranes are the ideal piece of equipment, thanks to their compact size and heavy lifting capacity.
A UNIC URW-295 was recently hired from GGR Group to help lift and place mullions on this rooftop in London.
With one of the best views of the city, this UNIC mini crane ensured that the materials were lifted into position, ready for the glazing to be added to the façade.
The UNIC URW-295 mini spider crane features a lifting capacity of up to 2.9 tonnes and is regularly used for lifting projects on rooftops due to its lightweight and compact nature.
The UNIC URW-295 is just 0.6m wide, enabling this machine to pass through a standard door frame, making it ideal for internal lifting operations. This mini crane can also fit into a goods lift to work in-between floors, making it ideal for projects of this kind.
This mini spider crane is one of the most popular spider cranes on the market; the 8.65m boom provides a maximum lifting height of 8.8m, whilst an optional fly jib gives a further 1500mm reach where required.
The UNIC URW-295 spider crane includes a Lift-Smart Advanced Safety System, where the crane uses a safe load indicator to prevent the crane operating outside of its safe working envelope.
