One of GGR Group’s strongest glazing robots, the Oscar 1000 was recently commissioned to help install curtain wall glass at Burnley Football Club.

The four glass panels weighed in at 296kg, with a thickness of 150mm, meaning this glazing had to be lifted and handled with precision for the prefect installation. The Oscar 1000 glazing robot was able to lift and place these 2.8 metre glazing panels into the optimum install position thanks to its six, evenly positioned suction pads, for full glass coverage.

Oscar 1000With limited working space, this expert glass manipulator easily moved the glass through the rebate and pulled it back to be fitted, thanks to its telescopic lifting arm.

Other features of the Oscar 1000 include a hydraulically powered 180° tilt function and a 360° manually rotating head. These features allow perfect precision for the installation of large, heavy glass like this project.
