The two UNIC spider cranes were used to lift five vessels weighing 2.3 tonnes each into position inside the factory’s pumping station. The compact cranes were easily tracked through the factory to reach the lifting area, moving through narrow access points just 1.9 metres wide.

The tanks were lifted from horizontal to an upright position using GGR’s URW-706 spider crane and URW-295 mini crane as a tandem lift.

The UNIC 6 tonne mini crane worked to a maximum lifting height of 5.5 metres when handling the vessels, working underneath a low ceiling with only millimetres to spare. GGR’s crane operators were able to complete the installation work in just one day much to the satisfaction of the factory owners.

GGR’s compact cranes are ideal for use in restricted access industrial environments. Take a look at a similar job where a UNIC URW-095 spider crane and G70 pick and carry crane installed cylindrical drums for this waste water plant’s carbon filter system.
