Mini spider cranes perfectly combine compact working ability and sheer strength. They are the ideal addition to any construction site with a lifting power that is disproportionate to their size and an elevated lifting height.

Challenge the possibilities of lifting with the spider-like outriggers that offer a unique stabilising ability for use on uneven terrain. They can be transported easily with their lightweight body, hydrostatic 2-speed tracks, and foldaway legs and boom.

Restricted Access

When you cannot open your small spaces up to large machines that can achieve the height and strength you need, mini spider cranes are a modern solution that have revolutionised the construction industry.

GGR Group’s mini spider cranes have accessed impossible locations in their years as the official European master distributor of UNIC cranes. One example is of our UNIC URW-706 Spider Crane at a Nuclear site which had to be lowered through a small opening to the lower floors where the Steam Generating Heavy Water Reactor needed decommissioning.

This crane with a 6-tonne max capacity weighs only 7920kg and is 1670mm wide, perfect for fitting through double doorways and shafts in a power station. The 19.5m lifting height (22.7m with a second stage fly jib) with a 6-section hydraulically telescoping boom offers you an ideal reach for a multitude of projects.

Working at a Height

A mini spider crane’s compact size doesn’t just offer access to hard-to-reach places it also makes working at a height easier with the reduced wind resistance and the ability to fold the crane down and leave it until the next day when a shift has finished, or weather prevents the continuation of operations.

One of our most notable projects at a height was our UNIC URW-706 Mini Spider Crane’s 11-week stint atop The Shard. At a working height of 283 metres, the URW-706 provided an extra helping hook for the tower crane building the UK’s tallest skyscraper.

Eco Mini Spider Cranes

Offering 4 ECO UNIC cranes, the 095 and 295 both tracked and un-tracked, you can now work in sensitive environments and low-emission zones with the renowned mini spider crane. Holding all the same benefits as the regular 095 and 295 mini spider cranes their eco counterparts have a rechargeable 48-volt battery for ultimate sustainability.

The UNIC ECO-095 showed off its petite size and zero emissions at a job in a Manchester hotel. This machine could easily fit through the hotel’s double doors and between the columns to install 30 pieces of canopy glazing. The 995kg lifting capacity was ideal for this project consisting of glass pieces weighing 86kg – 228kg.

GGR Group is the no.1 for lifting solutions and supplies a vast range of mini spider cranes and other mini cranes. For a tailored lifting solution for you, you can contact one of our specialists by phone or by clicking here.
