The UK’s largest capacity glass vacuum lifer was recently hired from leading lifting specialist GGR Group to help lift oversized glass, at one of London’s most famous department stores, Selfridges.
GGR’s 6000kg capacity Glass Vacuum lifter, the Hydraulica 6000 was hired to lift the 7.8 metre by 2.5 metre piece of glass into place, as part of extensive renovation works to Selfridges’ Flagship Oxford Street store.
Lifted by a truck mounted crane, the Hydraulica 6000 help install the 1700kg panel of glass seven metres from ground level, to form part of the shop front entrance at the popular shopping destination.
The Hydraulica 6000 is currently the largest capacity glass vacuum lifter in the UK. With a maximum capacity of 6000kg, this vacuum sucker features 360o electric powered rotation and 90o hydraulic tilt to assist in the manoeuvring of oversized, heavy loads.
