Lifting digital screen at Heathrow airport

A 6 tonne capacity UNIC URW-706 spider crane hired from GGR Group was used to install a large advertising screen outside the entrance to Terminal 3 at Heathrow Airport in London.

The UNIC URW-706 crane spent a night shift lifting the 1800kg digital screen into position onto a granite base on the terminal’s forecourt.

With a 19.5 metre maximum lifting height and 18.6 metre maximum working radius, this mini crane model offered the lifting capacity, reach and precision required to safely install the valuable 4 m x 4m screen whilst working underneath an 11.2 metre tall canopy roof. Using a spreader beam the remote controlled UNIC URW-706 lifted the screen from outside the canopy area to the installation point underneath the canopy.
