GGR are happy to finally announce that the female members of our team will be the stars of a new Channel 4 documentary, “Crane Girls”.
Channel 4’s camera crews have been given free reign behind the scenes at GGR’s Oldham, Long Crendon and Glasgow depots recently filming for the fly-on-the-wall documentary that is due to air in the Autumn.
The programme will follow the ladies bringing a bit of glamour and sophistication to the GGR offices and on site, showing the trials and tribulations of being a woman in the construction and plant hire industry.
“Crane Girls” will give viewers a glimpse into the working life of GGR co-founder and Managing Director Gill Riley as she keeps the men of GGR in check. The series will also take a look at the team of female office staff who keep the business running smoothly and crane operator Kirsty who takes the cameras with her on site to show what it’s like to be one of the only female crane operators in the business.
But don’t be feeling to sorry for the men who are missing out, we let them have a little bit of camera time as well! It’s rumoured that Operations Director Chris Lord is set to become the unlikely star of the show, his office antics likely to bring him a new reality TV star status!
We’ll keep you updated on when the “Crane Girls” will be hitting your TV screens.
