Leading lifting solutions specialists, GGR Group recently opened its doors to customers to showcase its new, purpose-built headquarters in Haddenham, Buckinghamshire. The grand opening saw hundreds of industry professionals visit from across the UK and Europe, where visitors were given a tour of the new facility and product demonstrations.
Minoru Nalatagowa CEO of Furukawa UNIC, the Japanese manufacturer of UNIC mini spider cranes cut the red ribbon to mark the official opening of the newly constructed, state of the art premises.
The new building offers over 102,000 square foot of warehouse and office space to support the company’s future growth plans. The main building is split into two halves, one for the equipment rental side of the business and the other for the new machines, including loading, assembly, inspection and demonstration areas, plus a large store of spare parts.
A variety of GGR’s popular UNC mini spider cranes were on display, including the newly updated URW-1006+, the world’s largest capacity spider crane. Amongst this were some of the newest products to recently be added to the GGR Group hire fleet. This included the 500 kg capacity AC500 industrial assembly crane, the Eco Unic mini crane on crawler tracks and the TC1 tracked carrier.
Graeme Riley, GGR Group chief executive, said, “As market leaders in the lifting industry it was important to us to build a facility that can support our future growth plans, whilst creating an environment that is attractive both to staff and visitors alike. With everything we do we set out to achieve the wow factor and our new premises go a long way in helping us to convey that message.”
