UNIC URW-506 lifting fabric canopy

A UNIC mini spider crane hired from GGR Group offered shelter against the wet Spring weather with the installation of a fabric canopy roof for an office building in Lancashire recently.

The 6 tonne capacity UNIC URW-706 mini crane model was chosen for this job as it had the lifting power and reach required to lift the 180kg canopy at an 11 metre working radius. After being tracked over to the middle of the building’s courtyard, the mini crane lifted the fabric covered roof up to a 5 metre height to place it on top of the supporting steel beams.

For handling smaller loads, GGR also stock Modular Spreader Beams  to hire or buy, which can be adjusted to any length up to 4 metres. The range of custom-made products designed by our in-house team of expert engineers and lifting professionals includes the Corner & Angled Glass Lifter, Steel Beam Manipulator and Car Lifting Hoist.
