URW-1006 Lifting Cubes

The world’s largest capacity mini spider crane, the UNIC URW-1006 was recently commissioned to help build an innovative, architectural piece for a creative design company in London, UK.

The mini crane was used to help construct the 10-metre-tall timber frame which included an internal wooden staircase. The structure was built from a reusable timber panel system made of American tulipwood and acted as a centre piece to the popular London Design Festival.

The UNIC URW-1006 was more than capable of safely and seamlessly lifting these two tonne cubes into place in time for the festivals grand opening to the public.

This mini yet mighty spider crane offers a generous 30.7 metre lifting height and 24.3 metre working radius, yet at only 2 metres wide still retains class-beating minimal dimensions for working in restricted spaces.

IMG_0102This versatile mini crane also has a unique pick and carry function which enables it to travel with loads up to 1.5 tonnes and lift up to a mighty 10 tonnes. Its configurable outriggers provide maximum stability when lifting on uneven surfaces thanks to their full safety interlocking system.

UNIC mini spider cranes are often used for lifting a variety of wood and timber for many different projects. Check out our lifting timber section here.
