It’s that time of year again – bustling crowds of bargain-hunting shoppers looking for the perfect Christmas gift are filling city centres and out of town shopping centres in the build-up to the festive period. GGR’s UNIC mini cranes can often be spotted working after hours at some of the UK’s most popular shopping destinations, like this UNIC URW-376 for example.

Earlier this year, a 2.9 tonne capacity UNIC URW-376 spider crane spent three nights installing steelwork as part of this major UK shopping centre’s refurbishment project.

The mini crane used its impressive strength to lift 1200kg steel beams to fill the centre floor void 7 metres above it. At just 1300mm wide and 1800mm tall, the crane was small enough to get through the automatic double doors leading into the shopping centre. To reduce the emissions from the crane’s diesel engine, the UNIC URW-376 was fitted with a Portable Scrubber. This fully VERT approved air filter reduces emissions by up to 99%, which is ideal for when working in confined indoor spaces.
