Our range of Glazing Robots have been used for many different glazing applications over the years. Our latest blog below discusses some of the most popular ways in which our range of Glazing Robots help make customers lifting projects a success.

Inside out glazingGeko 425

The Geko 425 was recently put into action for inside-out glazing on a building in Salford, Manchester.

The building was under construction and covered in scaffolding, making any glazing job from the outside a tricky situation. Thankfully, the Geko 425 is the perfect solution for inside-out glazing when mini spider cranes or mobile cranes cannot gain access underneath scaffolding.

Oversized glass

An Oscar 1400 was commissioned to help install glass at a premium city centre office building in Leeds.

For this oversized glazing project, GGR Group commissioned the strong, dark and handsome Oscar 1400 glazing robot to help lift and install the new glass.

The glazing robot was used to replace seven large (2.3 x 3.7m) glazed units, weighing in at a huge 0.5 tonne. With its ability to pick glass from stillages, carry the load to its install location and manoeuvre glazing into place, the Oscar 1400 was the perfect piece of equipment for this job.

Installing Art

Oscar 1400 Lifting Artwork

An Oscar 1400 Glazing Robot was recently hired from GGR Group to help lift artwork into place at an art gallery in London.

The 1.4 tonne glazing robot had to lift the glass fronted artwork from the delivery truck and then travel with the load, whilst passing through several doorways and manoeuvring around permanent structures. At just 1.3m wide, the small chassis and heavy lifting capacity of this machine made it the ideal choice for this project.

Cobra 550 Glazing Robot

Canopy Glazing
One of GGR Group’s specialists glazing robots, the Cobra 500 has become a firm favourite thanks to a canopy re-glaze project on a Nottingham restaurant.

With a 550kg capacity, the Cobra was easily able to pick the 200kg piece of glass from the glass trollies on site and carry to its prime installation position.

The Cobra 550 can lift materials from floor level up to four metres in a fully parallel operation and its hydraulic movement with 180 tilt made installation of the canopy glass easy, quick and precise.
