GGR Group announced today that the new Intelli-Grip technology will now be featured on the popular MRTA8 vacuum lifter as standard.

In February, GGR Group exclusively received the first two Intelli-Grip machines in the world and after a successful introduction into the market, the technology is beginning to be applied as standard to the Woods-Powr Grip range.

In addition to the MRTA8, Intelli-Grip technology will be extended to several other products in the range later this year.

Developed by Woods-Powr Grip, the Intelli-Grip technology monitors vacuum lifters in real-time, through performing multiple diagnostics and communicating them live on a colour LCD screen. This technology allows the operator to determine, issues like leak rate, battery life and the current lifter mode in use, but also serves as a diagnostic system for the use of the equipment.

These new Intelli-Grip machines are designed to minimise operator errors, increase safety, help identify needs for further training and also add an extra failsafe to ensure the safe use of the equipment at all times.

Chris Lord Technical Lifting Products Director at GGR Group said “This new innovation has been really well received and welcomed by our customers and main contractors. The initial success of this technology has led to these machines being fitted with the Intelli-Grip as standard and we look forward to more products in the range being included at a later date. GGR have embraced this new technology and we expect to see the popularity of these machines grow across our customer sites”.

Daniel Ezzatvar, Marketing Manager at GGR Group said “This new technology naturally means that there is a slight difference in the way the machines operate. In collaboration with Woods-Powr Grip, we have produced a series of informative videos that show customers exactly how the new features work. This type of video makes it easier for our customers when troubleshooting on site and we continue to work closely with the technical department to ensure that the customers are delivered the correct information at all times”.

With over 20 years’ experience in the industry, GGR currently has some of the most advanced in house expertise on Vacuum Lifting technology and equipment; some of their staff are amongst the most experienced vacuum lifting engineers in the country.

Historically, GGR Group has been one step ahead when it comes to bringing pioneering technology to the UK, with the introduction of vacuum lifters, glazing robots and the introduction of UNIC spider cranes.

The adoption of the Intelli-Grip machines – the next generation in vacuum lifters, signifies GGR Group’s commitment towards safety and innovation within the sector.
