Two of GGR’s most popular pick and carry cranes joined forces with a UNIC mini spider crane recently to help transform an empty back garden into a state-of-the-art fitness suite at a home in Lincolnshire.

This trio of compact cranes was the solution to tackling the awkward job of moving three 13 metre oak beams from the roadside to the rear of the house before lifting them into place to form the bare bones of swimming pool roof.

Two of the smaller models in our pick and carry range, the G20 and G35 cranes, were chosen to team up and carry the 2.6 tonne steel inserted timbers from each end across the driveway, down an narrow alleyway and into the pool area. The 2 tonne and 3.5 tonne capacity battery powered cranes were able to expertly travel with the heavy loads thanks to their precision steering and lifting strength without the need for outriggers.

A UNIC URW-295 mini spider crane then added some extra reach and power to move each beam onto a trestle to form the beginnings of a gym on the first floor above the pool.
