GGR has opened a dedicated mini crane hire depot at Westfield Stratford city, Olympic Park, London this week. 

Our trusty technical manager Matt Cox has hit the road and become a nomad setting up a new shop at the C1 Ground floor car park of the £ multi-million Westfield shopping centre.  (Click here for a map)

On show are GGR’s range of Unic mini spider cranes, glass vacuum suckers, glazing robots, glassboy floor cranes and other restricted access lifting equipment that will be available to hire throughout the Stratford City development.  If you’re lucky enough to work on the Westfield Stratford site, pop along and see our equipment in the flesh.

Westfield Stratford city will soon be a 1.9 million square foot retail and leisure park when it opens its doors on 13^th September this year.   Brace yourself ladies, it will have over 300 shops, 17-screen cinema and 70 restaurants—literally a ‘City within a City’—and perfectly located next to the Olympic Park. That’s a lot of glass and steel!

It’s a good job then that we’re no stranger to glazing shop fronts on behalf of Westfield shopping centres, as these pictures show. ….
