The opening credits of BBC’s The Apprentice are famous for their sweeping shots of London’s skyline, and as the city’s newest and tallest landmark The Shard is almost complete, the skyscraper and our Unic URW-706 mini spider crane made a surprise appearance.

In the first episode of the new series, our bright red Unic URW-706 mini crane, which spent 11 weeks helping with glazing work on the building, really stood out as shots taken from a helicopter flying over the top of The Shard were shown.

We’ll be keeping an eye out for more glimpses of our most famous mini crane in future episodes. Follow the link to watch last night’s episode on BBC iPlayer, our crane pops up at 41 minutes in.
