The latest addition to our hire fleet, an Oscar 600 glazing robot, was put to the test recently with a job at Edgbaston cricket ground.

At the home of Warwickshire County Cricket Club, this 600kg capacity robotic lifter was hired to replace a cracked glass unit in one of the venue’s conference rooms.

The slimline Oscar 600 was able to travel through 2 metre high double doors using precision steering wheel controls and then up to the upper floor in a small goods lift. The Oscar’s dual circuit vacuum lifter could tilt and rotate the new 1.9 metre² window pane to easily transport it through doorways.

GGR’s expert operators worked quickly and efficiently with this new piece of compact lifting equipment to remove the damaged glass and install the new unit from inside the venue, with glaziers on an access platform outside fitting the window into place.

Take a look at the other glazing robots in GGR’s new Oscar range – the Oscar 600 Offroad and the Oscar 1000.
